Antique Corner Furniture Restoration Services
Invest in quality, good wood can last a lifetime and more. A characteristic that distinguishes antique furniture made from wood is its workability. Unlike present day furniture that is often made from pressboard and paper with printed woodgrain (known as cherry or mahogany finish)--furniture made from real wood can be restored.
The pictures below show a restored 1920's walnut dining set.
Services We Provide
- Touch-up and restoration
- An important note on Refinishing
- Repair damaged veneer--from a small chip to an entire surface.
- Duplicate or replace missing hardware. (drawer pulls, knobs, handles)
- Re-Glue chairs tables and other pieces
- Refinish wooden doors and mantels
We do all the work by hand. This is important because you don't want to do more than is needed.
In general only pieces dating back at least 150 years or with special finishes such as fumed oak can be harmed by refinishing. Most furniture increases in value when properly restored. We all want antiques that we can live with. This means drawers that work, chairs that don't wobble, and tables that are sturdy.
We can reglue chairs and if necessary dowel and replace broken pieces.
